Westland Citrus Potting Compost Mix Enriched with Seramis 8 L

Westland citrus substrate is a specially prepared mixture that guarantees good drainage and contains a starting dose of balanced nutrients, which translates into healthy plant growth. The composition of the substrate has been enriched with seramis granules, which enable the retention of nutrients in the substrate for longer. Thanks to this, plants receive the right nutrients and have better conditions for development.

When repotting citrus trees, it is recommended to choose a slightly larger pot with adequate drainage holes and cover the bottom of the pot, e.g. with pieces of broken pottery, to ensure good drainage. Then place a layer of the prepared substrate on the bottom of the new pot, and gently remove the plant from the old pot and transfer it to the new one. Fill the space around the edges with citrus potting mix, covering the top roots with about 2 cm of fresh potting mix. After repotting, water the plant well and place it in light shade for a couple of weeks to allow the plant to develop new roots.

Watering citrus plants is best done abundantly when required, preferably with rainwater. Avoid submerging the roots of the plant in water. Sprinkling the plants with water daily will keep them cool and pollinate the flowers better.

Citrus plants are very voracious and require regular feeding during the growing season. Westland Citrus Medium contains all the nutrients the plant needs for the first 5-6 weeks. From March to October, it is recommended to regularly feed the plants with Westland specialized citrus fertilizer, which will allow for better growth and abundant fruiting.

For best results, store citrus plants at a minimum temperature of 10°C and avoid placing them in direct sunlight for the first three weeks after transplanting. In winter, keep the plants in a cool place, protected from frost, and in summer, move them outside as soon as the risk of frost has passed.
